Privacy at Boas Comidas: how we collect, use, and protect your data (LGPD).

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Boas Comidas (boascomidas.com.br) handles visitors’ personal data, in accordance with Brazil’s General Personal Data Protection Law — LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018) — and other applicable rules.

Boas Comidas is an independent recipes, gastronomy, and culinary content portal. By using the site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who controls the data

The controller of the data processed on this site is the operator of the Boas Comidas portal. For anything related to privacy and data protection, including exercising your rights, contact: contato@boascomidas.com.br.

2. What data we collect

2.1. Browsing data

When you visit the site, we automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time on page, referral source, and approximate location (country/region). This collection uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — including our own measurement infrastructure (`analytics.boascomidas.com.br`), which processes this data on our server before it is sent to Google.

2.2. Cookies

We use cookies for: (a) essential site operation; (b) audience and performance measurement (Google Analytics); and (c) advertising (Google AdSense / Google Ad Manager and partners). You can manage cookies in your browser settings and, where available, through the consent notice shown on the site. Visitors in regions with prior-consent requirements (such as the European Union) have non-essential cookies blocked until they opt in.

2.3. Data you provide

When you use our contact or content-report forms, we collect the data you enter — usually your name, email, and message — solely to respond to your request.

3. How we use the data

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the site and its content;
  • To measure audience and editorial performance (analytics);
  • To display advertising, including personalized ads where authorized (see section 4);
  • To respond to contact requests and content reports;
  • To meet legal obligations and exercise rights in legal proceedings.

The legal bases we rely on include consent (art. 7, I), legitimate interest (art. 7, IX), and compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II), as applicable.

4. Advertising and monetization

This site is supported by advertising revenue and may display ads from Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager, as well as other ad networks. These services may use cookies (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of Google personalized advertising at Ad Settings and learn more at How Google uses data.

Affiliate links: some published links may be affiliate-program links. When you buy through them, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. This does not affect the editorial independence of our recommendations.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with: (a) technology providers that keep the site running (hosting, CDN/Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager); (b) the advertising platforms listed in section 4; and (c) authorities, where there is a legal obligation. We do not sell personal data.

Some of these providers may process data outside Brazil. In such cases, international transfers follow LGPD requirements and the providers’ own contractual safeguards.

6. Your rights (LGPD)

At any time, you may request: confirmation that processing exists; access to your data; correction of incomplete or outdated data; anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data; portability; information about sharing; and withdrawal of consent. To exercise any right, write to contato@boascomidas.com.br or follow the steps on the Data Deletion page. We will respond within the timeframes set by law. You may also file a complaint with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

7. Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or for legal obligations. We adopt reasonable technical and organizational security measures — such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect the data in our care.

8. Children and teenagers

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a guardian and believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically. The current version will always be published on this page, with the update date at the top. Material changes may be highlighted on the site.
